Nourishment for the Wandering Soul

Our ultimate goal is to effect change in the world of the poor, one individual at a time.  We do this currently by managing a mobile food pantry, providing warm meals and other necessities to the homeless located in Center City Philadelphia and surrounding areas.  We are committed to helping those in need and do so on a regular basis.

We are unique in that we take the "foot soldier" approach to giving back.  We provide assistance to the needy "hand to hand".  But we also work with other organizations on a regular basis to provide meals to the poor and homeless.  We consistently seek out additional ways to help the homeless beneath, above and around the streets of Center City Philadelphia, and its outlying areas where the homeless tend to settle in.

Our Motivation:  My Poor Feat began with a family's vision of feeding the homeless and poor in our community. The volunteers at My Poor Feat believe that each of us should help the hungry, homeless, and less fortunate. By helping those who have little or nothing, we can create change for the better of our community and the world.  We realize that the need is great in our area, especially throughout these difficult economic times.  In this day and age, a simple twist of fate can render a person destitute.  Our society has made it tougher than ever to find the strength to overcome, to regain our composure, and to start again.  It is our intent to help those who need it, one individual at a time.

Assistance during this time of Crisis

As we close in on then end of 2023, the pandemic is still affecting many people and businesses alike.  However, we are still operating and following our mission to provide assistance to those in need.  This is thru our food pantry and local food deliveries to family's in our local area.

We are blessed to be able to continue our mission thru the valued 2023 contributions from the Linemen at Excelon Corporation as well as other recent doners.  We heartedly thank you !!

We are also working closely with the Regional Coalition Against Hunger to serve the needy in our local community through our mobile food pantry.  If you and your family are in need of emergency assistance, please contact the Greater Philadelphia Coalition Against Hunger at 215-430-0555 or http://www.hungercoalition.org/food-pantries.  They can help assess your emergent need and direct you to My Poor Feat or your closest food pantry to help.
